The Nut Job 2 Style Guide • Redrover Co., Ltd.

Developed the Style Guide for The Nut Job 2, which was the sequel to the globally successful animated feature film, The Nut Job. The guide from the previous film, along with the work-in-progress on the new film was evaluated to understand the equitable assets of the franchise. Market research was also conducted to uncover graphic trends being employed by competitive brands that appealed to the same target. The pre-design research findings enabled us to establish the creative strategy for this licensing program so that all design assets would have a common visual language. A broad variety of badges, patterns, borders, type treatments and iconography were then created. Lastly, the style guide itself, which is inspired by the dilapidated amusement park featured in the film was developed. This project was developed while at Design Force, inc., under the creative direction of Ted Mininni.
