ZAFARI Style Guide • Ink Group

Developed the licensing program style guide for ZAFARI, a CG animated children's television series about a group of "misfit" animals who live in a secret valley at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro where they can live without the ridicule and celebrate that which makes them unique. Creative strategy for the licensing program is all about the mixture of animal textures that make the characters of ZAFARI unique. Design elements were developed, including badges, patterns, border treatments and type treatments. The design for the style guide introduces licensees to the world of ZAFARI through the diverse environments while featuring a different locale for each section of the guide. This project was developed while at Design Force, inc., under the creative direction of Ted Mininni.
